David Horne
We have changed the ruling on the grippers for the contest in May. This has occured due to the difficulty of refereeing. So we will now have to place a 20mm wooden spacer between the handles with your spare hand and then go to closure. It's similar to Ironmind's rule except without the extreme width. It will still make it a bit tougher as there is obviously quite a distinctive pause whilst you place the wooden block in. The reason we went for a wooden block is because of it's ease to place in. By the way, a 20mm width is handles at parallel. We are also in the midst of working out the rules regarding what materials can be used for protection in the bending.
