Mr Sorin is looking trim and in the best shape he has been in for some time. I have no excuse now as I am the same age as Richard. :bow

How wide is the blob when its gripped that way?

I can't even imagine getting my hand over it to try and lift it !!

Blob Info:

http://www.cyberpump.com/gripboard/index.php?showtopic=2616

30 lb. blob

3-1/4" at top sloping out to 4-3/8"

35 lb. blob

3-9/16" at top sloping out to 5"

40 lb. blob

3-3/4" at top sloping out to 5-1/4"

45 lb. blob

3-13/16" at top sloping out to 5-1/2"

50 lb. blob

3-7/8" at top sloping out to 5-1/2"

If one wants to lie them on their side to lift them, as Wade stated he does, the diameters are as follows:

30 lb.- 6-3/8"

35 lb.- 6-1/2"

40 lb.- 6-13/16"

45 lb.- 6-15/16"

50 lb.- 7-7/16"

VERY IMPRESSIVE!

EXCELLENT.

Same size hands as mine.Amazing feat!

What hand size is that?

Relevant to the wide pinch that is, which means span from thumb point to fingertip.

Thanks for the info Monte Cristo

I've just had a look at that and i'd never even get close to getting my fingers over the edges to lift anything bigger than the 35!

Richard is the hero of little handed people everywhere :blush

Is 7.75" little? My hands are the same size - I thought 7.5" was roughly average. Richard certainly is the man, though - unbelievable and pioneering grip feats and a successful and innovative equipment company as well. And it seems like he just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

I have to ask, when is his book coming?

Are we sure that he doesn't have electromagnets in his hands? :yikes

I'm sure our hands aren't exactly the same 'size' :unsure ....but my hands are 7 3/4" long and so are Mr.Sorins.

Most wide pinchers are 8"PLUS.

Mr. Sorin, your feats continue to astonish. I agree with Ian, a book would be very timely.

Thumb to fingertip of 7 3/4 ?

Hhmm, I thought that my hands were small at only a little over 7 long. But they are 8 1/2 wide at the widest which is what I use for extreme wide pinch (which by the way is from thumb to ringfinger, thanks to my pathetic pinky :blush )

In any case. My hands could be 10" wide and I still wouldn't be able to pinch a blob by the face like Sorin! :bow
