OldGuy,

Earlier this week you posted on the main froum a post

saying (paraphrasing) " Why don`t a gripper be made

with a handle spread of 2 1/8 and be done with it?"

I repiled without first hand knowledge, that I do not see how a springwire

of a #3 or 4 could be wound tight enough to have a 2 1/8 handle width.

My theory was unfounded and I was told by Tetting (yesterday)

that, yes he can make a gripper with 2 1/8 handle width by changing the

degree of the springleg. I did not think of that.

Tetting also said he would not make any grippers with that width as

he sees no need for one. I am not interested in a 2 1/8 width gripper myself,

but I had to know if it one could be made :)

I admit I did not think about it being possible or not to make such a narrow gripper when I made that post. Meanwhile I am trying to deal with my guilt feelings about having large paws!

Well, isn`t it better to have 'em and not need 'em, than to need 'em

and not have 'em :) ............ The large hands I mean
