herc
DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHERE I CAN GET HORSESHOES?
Clay Edgin
Check the phone book under Blacksmiths or Farriers. Or, find a guy with a horse and ask!
danegarreau
You may also want to try some old mom and pop hardware stores, everynow and then they will have some.
GordonV
I have been meaning to check with the local horse track. I bet they have a whole pile of them. SqueezeMasterFlash is even closer to the horse track than I am, maybe he can check.

If you know any horsethieves you ought to check with them. I am sure someone like William Jefferson Clinton or Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) would be able to get ahold alot of free horseshoes due to their position. Clay Edgin
If you want to make some phone calls, you can check out St. Croix Forge, who are a big supplier of them. I don't have their number though. I do own a few of the Diamond Pony Shoes, and have managed to put a warp in one, but they are so small that I have hard time getting my hands onto them! And they're made from good tough steel, too. I've you've never twisted a horseshoe before, start with a 000 or 00. Anyone with two hands and a leg to brace the shoe on should be able to bend these without too much trouble. I've done a #1 braced which really isn't a big deal - the Mighty Atom used to do No. 5 shoes unbraced. Be sure to pad your thigh if you're going to brace the shoe on it - I didn't pad my thigh first time I tried it and the pressure was so great that the skin broke and I had a nice cut and a deep bruise from it. It was fun though. Edited February 26, 2004 by ClayEdgin
