crs9740
I've really been getting into bending and I wanted to get some timber ties for practice. No place around me has any...or even heard of them. I was going to have Home Depot special order them and I was hoping someone would tell me the brand name, stock number, or anything that would help me order them. No one here seems to know anything. Thanks -CHRIS Edited February 24, 2004 by crs9740
porkbone
The brand is Grip Rite. For a 30lb bucket, the part number is 60HGTT30BK. The part number on a 5lb box is 6HGTT5. Here's what's written on the box as a description: HOT GALV TIMBER TIE NAILS 60d 6" Timber ties vary a lot. If you manage to get a box, they may be too easy, too hard, or just right. It's a gamble, really. Hope this helps!

climber511
I've found Timber Ties in 7, 12, and 14 twist (that's for the whole nail, not per inch). The more twists, the harder they are to bend as a general rule.
