Master (155 lbs pressure)

Super Master (185 lbs pressure)

Grand Master (220 lbs pressure

I know this has been brought up a million times and i've searched but before I purchase them just want to make sure. I'm stuck inbetween the #2 and #3 right now. I know that the super master is a great inbetween #2and#3 but how about the GM and M. My guess is that the M is about like a #2 and the GM is harder or the same as a #3. My number three has a really wide umm dont know what to call it well the handles are wider than my #1and#2 if that matters. Well what do you guys think and how are the quality of these grippes?

I think you mean your #3 has a wide spread. If you get a supermaster it'll be inbetween 2 and a three. i suspect that it will be closer to a #3 then a #2 because the handles are being set high these days and I felt his latest batch and they were harder then the SM I bought alnost a year ago.

I have a pretty solid SM. It has about a 2 15/16'' spread and a fairly decent spring depth. I would rate it as a 2.6-2.7.

Have to agree with Matt and Jeff, my SM is around a 2.6-2.7 closer to a 3 than 2. Mike

My friend's SM is as hard or harder than his 1997 single stamped #3

I think Porkbone's SM is like an average #2 (if I remember right). Not sure when he got it, sometime last year I would imagine. Still I think it is a worthwhile bet for a gripper between a #2 and #3. I need to get one of these myself!!
