Iron Horse Gropper

Hello,

Presently, I only own 25lbs & 45lbs block weight.

Since I'm unable lift the 45lbs block weight I need something inbetween.

Do you think the gropper could be good substitute as inbetween blockweights?

Congratulations on closing the 3#!

Have you tried forced reps/ negatives, using only enough pressure on your thumb side to lift and lower the 45? That seems to help me progress.

Is your 45 a hex or rounded? IMO, I think you could pull at least a 40 lb blob since you can close the 3.

I could lift the 45lb hex blob just about my knee. My pinch grip basicly sucks.

I'll try the negatives & forced reps.

gotenmyoou, aren't grip and its various components strange & puzzling? I have deadlifted the old-style 45 lb York on 2 seperate occasions, but am still 1/2 inch away on the #3 with my right hand, and I can barely pinch two 25 lb plates.

I am confident you will make good progress on your pinch grip since you had the determination & persistence to close the #3.

Odin, How do train your crush grip?

Gotenmyoou , I do a variety of exercises, and haven't settled on a routine yet. I just do what I feel like doing on any given day. I have been focusing on block weights recently. I do some gripper work & some Ivanko Super Gripper work (especially negatives) for crush. Check out my training log on this site if you want more details.

I saw on the other threa that you use the IM grip machine, pparently it helped a lot. I just ordered Titan's Telegraph key myself.
