Ray Hansford
My plan is to be certified in 2005. Wondering if I should just train with grippers?? Or should I be doing more of an allround routine with thick handles, Blobs, etc....?? Keep in mind that my goal is to close the #3, I really dont have much desire to lift 45lb Blobs, Inch dumbells, or do a 500 pound thick handle deadlift. If an allround routine is best then I will do it, Grippers will just be my main focus. Has anyone got certified just training with Grippers?? Thanks Ray
Guest Harlan Jacobs
I have played around a bit with some other grip stuff, But I was certifed training almost soley with grippers. I am old school, But I belive if you want to be good at at somthing , the only way is to do it. I know I will be in the minority here but it works for me. Sean Dockery
If your primary goal is to cert on the #3, then don't waste your time with an all around program. By all means, specialize on the grippers.
HAMMERHEAD
Yea, focus Daniel san. If you're gonna use anything else, you could use a machine, dexterity balls, and a pony clamp. -HH

I think that that answers your own question. Above all, do what you enjoy. BC.

gotenmyoou
I've just closed the #3 gripper yesterday (first time/ unofficial). All I've done for this 3 months were heavy negative with floor model grip machine & lifting block weights. I hope this will help.

JeffPeterson
If grippers are what you want now, hit them hard. A couple months down the road you might surprise yourself and find pinching or thickbar fun. I suspect that after your certification you will make other goals.
