Hey,

Just a quick question about chokers. I have one coming to me and I wondered do you use your hands or use some tool like pliers?

You mean to close it so you can screw in the nut to keep it closed?

The choker gripper is coming with instructions that say in no uncertain terms, "If you are not able to squeeze the gripper enough to adjust the knob then the gripper is too hard for your training. Discontinue use."

I actually hold the knurled nut while I twist the bolt with a combination wrench. I swap the provided bolt and acorn nut for a longer standard hex bolt though (mostly so I can fully open/relax the handles and keep the knurled nut on the bolt). Before I did that, I had one of the acorn nuts unscrew and rocket the handles open when I was trying to adjust a choker back open at the end of a workout. I was really lucky I didn't hurt myself. It would've been my fault, admittedly, because I didn't follow the provided directions.
