Sit-down nationals

My two losses to Daniel Swords (darn good young arm wrestler).  The video is his matches.  I’m the dude in the black t-shirt with a tattoo of Eddie on my arm.

Anyway, all of my losses were fought at the pad like these.  I quickly got put into the defensive.  Glad I could hold off a bit, but as an old guy, it sure seems like a bad spot for an injury.

Any training tips to get that advantage off the start?  I’m aware that table time is paramount, but I can’t travel to practices weekly due to my family commitments.

Next match in early May

When I did arm wrestle, wanted to try sit down... maybe in the future

Starts are all timing, sometimes was quick some slow as hell

The feedback was my upper arm was plenty strong, just need to work on my wrist and side pressure.  Good times
