WillGuiliani Posted February 9 Share Posted February 9 Today I hosted a Intro to Grip clinic at Rockreation LA, a climbing gym near my house. After an hour of folks messing around with the implements and learning some basic techniques, there was enough interest for me to put together (what I thought would be a small) contest. We contested 4 implements 1) Pluto - a part of the planets series by JokaBug 2) 2.5" Crusher - Fat Bastard Barbell Co. 3) Pinch Block - Grip Genie 4) Little Big Horn to Lockout - Ironmind We had 14 first time grip competitors participate in some part of the contest. Every lifter (other than myself) was 83kg or below. 2024 is the year of the lightweight, the climber, the woman.
