Amy
Curious if anyone remembers who had the original female Rolling Thunder record and what it was? It is no longer listed on IM, only going back to Elizabeth in the progression. Maybe I am making it up but I swear I recall a record before that? Feeling like it was Becca Swanson or Jill Mills? Disclaimer....I can be totally remembering wrong and Elizabeth was the first. If so, my apologies! Thanks all!
Hubgeezer
Amy, it's there. It's Ludmilla, 170 point something pounds... Never mind, I didn't read your post carefully enough. For those interested, here is the link: https://ironmind.com/certification/rolling-thunder/rules-and-world-records/#:~:text=Woman's World Record&text=77.2 kg (170.2 lb.) Sorry it's not the short version. Amy, did you set it on June 30, 2013 in Santa Clara? If so, I can look it up in the following issue of MILO. Seriously it’s been ten years since RT was last set? Bonkers! I never attempted or set the RT or block pinch records.

PHATMUSCLE COACHING
Most women in the UK use the Gods of Grip 60mm instead, because, well, it actually rolls. This handle is similar to the RGT in structure and spin. I will peak the women I work with for a number on this handle, for the benefit of this thread. Seeing more women do grip is absolutely amazing by the way.

It means our sport is growing, and the ones that are into it put up very impressive numbers.. Its great.

Julia Mills trained on the 50mm (2") gods of grip today. She pulled 150lb. This thing spins like an RGT. Granted it is smaller. https://www.instagram.com/stories/phatmuscle_coaching/3299738116664911576?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=cjI3OWl1OWtwdjZv There is a reason we are using the 2" at the moment. 1)it's contested here in the Gods of Grip league UK and 2)it turns over more to barbell deadlift. Having taken 555lb for 2 in training on competition style deadlift only yesterday, Julia is currently training to become the first woman in the UK to pull 600 pounds , barehanded, and in official competition. She is very very strong.
