Inch dumbell

I am practicing for the inch dumbbel lift. I have a grip i have made that is 1 cm wider then the inch dumbbel. Its loaded with weightplates and 2 kettlebells. The setup looks really homemade and its not perfectly balanced. I just lifted 70 kg and can easily lift more. I hear much talk about rotation from the real inch dumbbell. Is my setup not really a good indicator of how i am doing strenght wise? Because i dont feel much rotation.

I think I'm going to maintain it with a 43mm handle and a weight varying from 100 to 120 lb on both sides; for the strength of the inch; Do you think this would help me? Do you have any comments because I would like to have your opinion?
