AdriaanRobert96
So I’ve had these Zenit Grippers from IM for quite a while, Agility, #1, #2 and #3 and while I never really use them I can still close all of them with ease.. I used them with my left this week because I tore my hand open from the regular grippers. My question remains tho.. Are these grippers any good, do they help with the regular gripper strength?
John Knowlton
Yes they are good and will help build grip strength. Just a little different to squeeze 1
Cannon
I think they are good for reps. Like, zillions of reps. Grease the groove 3

Grease the groove Indeed they are, I use them on my left hand, but is there any real rating for these? I mean, I am closing a #3 on the left for an easy 10 reps and obviously it is nowhere near a real #3 .. Maybe a #2.2? Never really found any ratings for these.. Mine feel a half level than their number would indicate. Eg, 3 feels 2.5
Fist of Fury
Good if you want your skin to have some rest. But honestly it's much better to buy several COC's and just sand down the knurling in that case. Then you have grippers without knurling that are the same. You have the Vulcan already so they are not worth it for you in my opinion, unless you just want to have them becasue they are different. 1

Maybe like a really light #3.5.

Oh that’s a great idea to file down the regular grippers, never thought of that With that said I just use the Zenith on my left and don’t really need em since I have most of them since way back. Yeah that’s true, Vulcan is also something I mainly use on my left hand atm and it works wonders!
Douglas Carney
I'm not great at grippers, but I like the feel of the Zeniths for rehab. But with the handle width it feels like a Silver Bullet hold when closed. hahaha Hypothetically speaking...if/when I work up to a #4 in Silver Bullet...I'll be practicing isometric holds with this beast. Think I got it used from @Cannon...

I have a #3 at home but I can’t find #4s here in Sweden
C8Myotome
@Cannon is that a true CPW zenith rating above? I thought they were too big and awkward to rate
Cannon
Just now, C8Myotome said: @Cannon is that a true CPW zenith rating above? I thought they were too big and awkward to rate Yeah we used to rate them. We would rate them with the strap aligned a certain way with the center band of the handle. This made the numbers slightly higher which we felt was a better comparison to TSG numbers. (Although with the other obvious design differences nothing was going to be perfect). So if you cannot close a roughly 190 regular TSG, then you are probably not closing that Zenith #4. Again, not exactly, but close enough for the ratings to be a "buying guide" versus TSGs. 1

I searched for "Zenith Cannon PowerWorks" and found the email with the invoice number, but it doesn't show the RGC.
Douglas Carney
This Zenith #4, based on a my current skill level, might as well be called Unobtanium Junior. 1

Douglas Carney
I'm more into block weights and thick bar, so I haven't even full closed my GHP Level 6 (RGC 128) yet. I keep saying I need to work on my grippers but I'm currently focused on lifting the Inch dumbbell. For a bit of context, I was doing ok with an unrated Zenith #3 back in 2021 which is why I bought the #4. I didn't realize at the time just how big a jump it would be...
