Vano Sukhashvili CONFIRMED that certification on GMC grippers was in full compliance with the rules and the absence of interference in the construction of grippers by Tiziano Becchio

There has been a lot of debate on the forum about whether Tiziano's strenght is real. Most likely, each participant remained with his opinion. But I couldn't stop thinking about this problem. First of all, I tend to believe Tiziano. Secondly, the situation is unpleasant to me when a person is even suspected of cheating, having only subjective ideas about the appearance of a person who either theoretically could have done something like that, or did.

The options with "you must prove" to someone and something are all the more offensive. In order to suspect a person of deception and to make such accusations out loud (which such claims are in fact), you need to have some kind of reasons or precedents...

During a quick analysis of Tiziano's achievements, I noticed that he had passed a number of certifications on uncalibrated grippers. Some of them were of chinese ancestry, and therefore it is difficult to take them into without calibration. Next comes the certification of IronMind CoC-3,5 CS. With all the disadvantages - even with an average resistance (there is a chance that it was less than average, but small) this is a really hard gripper, with a fairly small spread of statistically probable loads. In addition, the certification procedure practically excludes any forgery. Opinions that the box can be opened and gripper can be replaced... Let's just say it's very unlikely for me. I myself have repeatedly opened standard USPS boxes - according to my observations, it is practically (if not at all) unrealistic to do this so that there are no traces left. This option for me stands next to the assumption (living on the russian-speaking internet) that Strossen specifically sends the toughest grippers to russian or ukrainian athletes, and not wishing them success. Which one, which the other sounds like nonsense..

Next and apart is the certification of GMC (Grippermania) by Vano Sukhashvili. I think olders and enthusiasts know about his achievements, and those who do not know will be helped by internet search. Vano is the author of the best (in my opinion, although not devoid of disadvantages and options for improving)  GM-150 dynamometer and the best (in Europe and Asia for sure) device for calibrating grippers in RGC system. What is the certification of GMC -it is an analogue of MM, but which was approached more pedantically. Vano used original Warren Tetting springs and custom standard sizes handles . After submitting an application by a person and confirming his ability (for example, for Tiziano it was closing CoC-3,5 to the camera), with help of calibrator, position of the handles on the springs is set so as to obtain the required specific RGC. Further, everything is similar to MM, with the difference that there are options for closing: with a 20mm block, no set and chestcrush. Then the grippers return to Vano, he checks them and, if there are no signs of falsification or interference in to settings, approves the result.

Now Tiziano is on position 1 on "20mm block" with 95kg RGC (surpassing David Shamey with 94.5kg and, for example, Nikita Yurkovets with his 90.5kg. Shamey, as far as I know, weighs about 110kg, and Yurkovets about 130. I may be wrong about this, but it's only the order of the digits that matters, not the precision)

"No Set" - Tiziano - No. 1 with 83kg, then Ivan Cuk with 80.5, Yurkovets - 80.5, Shamey - 76.0

The fact that Tiziano's name was on this list indicated that there were no complaints from Vano to him. But I was interested in literal answers that could be shared for the public on GB.

In general, the matter remained simple - to ask a direct question to Vano and wait for a direct answer from him. Unpleasant activity around Ukrainian KK unsettled me and took a lot of time and effort, but the result was achieved.

Next, I give screenshots of correspondence with Vano - I received his direct permission for this, and a translation of the main theses. If someone is interested in "hearing/reading" his answers personally, I think that you will be able to find him in social networks and get his confirmation on all points personally.

My question to Vano:
"... can you confirm that after checking grippers after returning, you did not see any traces of their reconfiguration to another resistance, or any other impact that could simplify their closing? I see that the name of Tizinao is in the certification rating, and this naturally implies that there were no questions or complaints on your part, but I am interested in, let's say, a specifically formulated and unambiguous answer..."

Vano's answer:
"There are no claims against him from my side. He himself asked to participate in GMC certification for several months and fulfilled all my preliminary requirements. I asked him to close 3.5 and he do it according to the rules. He paid 200 usd for the delivery of the grippers for the two times that he ordered. He provided the certification video in excellent quality. There's nothing wrong with the grippers. .... If he somehow commits fraud, then I have no idea how."

I doubt that this information will be able to convince the most diehard skeptics. But people who have not yet formed their opinion and are looking for facts on which it can be formed - I think it will be interesting for them to read this!

Dead horse. Show up at a comp or a grip meetup in person with other grip athletes. Nothing else matters. All this speculation back and forth is a waste of time.

Well put.  I think the thing that is bothering most people is that they want to see Tiziano mingling with other stars, competing with Shamey, Myerscough, etc.  Because the level of gripper he is closing is at their level, and his feats are all the more astounding given his size.  Those feats at his size make him the most remarkable grip athlete in history, without question, and people want to mingle with that kind of star.  So hopefully he will make the effort to participate soon.

Vincent, I think it's more a question of the breadth of a particular person's horizons and his elementary upbringing. If Tiziano ever performs at some tournament together with serious rivals, my respect for his results will only grow. But from the fact that this has not happened YET, I do not have the right to call him a cheater (or even if such thoughts visit me, then say it out loud). I try to perceive people.. abstracting from my subjective scale of values. For example, in deleted posts on the topic about grippers closing, one scandinavian said that he did not participate in competitions because he did not like it. Although he has been doing this sport for a very long time. But I consider it as a maximum - extraordinary. But not a liar. For me, playing sports and not competing is like paying for a prostitute's time and spending it on stories about sports victories (although this is not a joke, but a real story. Once I worked as a coach in "elite" fitness center, which was visited by very rich "dads" and girls from escort agencies. One of them told me how one my known World Champion in Arm Wrestling paid for her night, and spent it all on showing her his medals and videos from the competition. And I believe her, because an ampoule of su****on a day for several months of preparation is not a joke). The same - ****** is an accomplished and very rich person in life. But he didn't realize that the list of people who owe him something is very small. Most likely, apart from his children, there is no one there at all. But he sincerely believes that Tiziano also owes him. To prove something. Who he is for Tiziano to waste time and effort on proof, I never understood.. In general, some people have solid age digits in their passports, but their psychological age is still far from being allowed to buy alcohol in most countries...

Matt - I'm sorry if you have to waste time deleting my posts again! You can see that I'm not insulting anyone and I don't even give a reason to think about it, but just thinking out loud about the reasons for the distrust of some athletes to others. and I do this only because these athletes cannot justify their disbelief to other people with facts themselves!..

And it was obvious before (the plethora of grip equip $$$ in his vids) that money was not really an issue.  Even more so after hearing that it took $200 USD to certify on 2 grippers.  So my point is that money shouldn't be an issue when it comes to traveling a bit.  Especially with that offer from @Alawadhi😃

I do not really feel that because it was in a competition then it has a better grounding as a true result. When we look at other sports the video referee has the final say on a call due to the fact that the ref on the ground has so much going on they are not 100% sure the goal or feat happened.

In competition you can get the - "I'm sure the person could complete the feat, so I will say yes even if I could not be truly sure".

So I will go with "Show me the video of the person closely watching the person successfully complete the feat or it has doubt in my mine"

I do realise its subjective and not what others think but the same has to be said for the people who claim that its the other way.

Just so everyone is aware, like I stated in the closed thread, I have been in contact with other companies who offer certifications for grippers and feats, Tiziano is claimed to have done. I have been in talks all day with these people, presented all the information I could to them.

Let me be clear with this. I was not attempting to have Tiziano removed from any list. Since there is doubt about the #3.5 certification being real, I wanted these companies to be aware and to make a decision based on their findings alone. They have contacted me personally and informed me of their decisions regarding the matter.

I will not commit publicly what was said to me. I did not ask permission to share the conversation(s). But what I can share is this. I sent the following message to different certifying bodies:

"Hello, I am contacting you because of Tiziano Becchio. It has come to light, this person is found to be cheating grip feats by setting their weighted scale to pounds and not Kilograms, and modifying hand grippers. They have gone out of their way to fake the IronMind #3.5 gripper certification. IronMind is looking into the matter and found the gripper used for the #3.5 certification was fraudulent.

Please find links to threads that talk about this subject matter.

Can you please look into the claimed feats by Tiziano Becchio. I implore you, and whoever else judges these certifications to investigate if any act of cheating was done by this man."

I will only speak on matters that are posted publicly by these people. I have shared the whole conversation with another member, @Jared P, since they broke the news about IronMind's findings. I asked they keep the messages private, I'm fine if they share the message with the mods, but the finer details to remain private.
