Griz Posted December 31, 2003 Share Posted December 31, 2003 When you talk about grades what do you mean? I was at Lowe's for other reasons and ended up in the bolt aisle. I bought a 1/4 inch x 5.5 inch bolt and a 5/16 bolt in the same length. They are both Hex bolts if that makes a bit of difference. AP Posted January 2, 2004 Share Posted January 2, 2004 no, if there's no markings (slashes) then its a grade 2. 1/4" 5.5 is quite good especially if this is one of your first attempts at bending.
