Here is a profile I am sure many of you have been waiting for: one of the all-time strongest gripper-closers in history (I am not going to be so bold as to declare who is THE strongest all time, but there can be no debate that this is one of the very very few who would be on the short list for that honor):  David Shamey -- the first man ever to conquer the MM9 gripper.

David submitted his answers to these questions almost as soon as I asked him, maybe over a month ago, so I knew I would have this ready for June 1 as planned.  And I did have it ready for June 1, as planned.  But I did not actually remember to POST it then.  So here it is now, a bit late.  Without further ado, David's profile:

1. What are your stats?

GripBoard name: SeNoLD / David Shamey

Dominant hand, and hand size:  right. 20cm

    Country/City: Russia. Belgorod

Coc 3.5 and MM9 Certifications. Clean and press Inch dumbbell.

4. How do you currently structure your overall training/how do you incorporate your grip training?

Now I'm busy with rehabilitation. I do light workouts no more than 70kg RGC

5. What hobbies (other than grip/bending/lifting) do you enjoy?

Strongman requires so many skills that it closes the need for a hobby

6. Do you have a personal anecdote, topic or thoughts you'd like to include in your profile?

I usually say this phrase: "Regularity always wins over intensity"

7. Whose Grip profile would you like to see next?

Interrogate Carl for us.

Vinnie's note: I think we can all agree without me even asking who David means.  I'll reach out to Carl Myerscough to see about a future post.  In the meantime, sorry for the lateness with this one - I hope to keep these coming one every month for as long as there is interest!
