Jedd Johnson
Posting some links to various BnBs that my friends own. This one is less than a mile away. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/868284556015216405?check_out=2023-05-05&adults=2&check_in=2023-05-04&s=41&unique_share_id=828C2892-CADF-47FF-A499-7FAF6B151765&_branch_match_id=1182791280220815041&_branch_referrer=H4sIAAAAAAAAA8soKSkottLXT0zKS9LLTdXPL0%2F1LbR0q8isSgIAbtua3hsAAAA%3D&source_impression_id=p3_1683237643_KwnV5nPjdi6sLCGK The following ones are all right on the same street as my gym https://abnb.me/tePBwGczjzb https://abnb.me/rE2yrYhzjzb https://abnb.me/UDEDN4kzjzb https://abnb.me/vz1X7wjzjzb In addition, there is the Stone Mountain Inn and 3 miles away, but I don't have a link. The Wyalusing Hotel is right on my street, but don't get a room above the bar, you'll hear everything that goes on down stairs. Get the Annex, instead https://www.wyalusinghotel.com/ There are multiple hotels in Wysox / Towanda that can be found in Google Maps Luke's father-in-law also has an Air BnB here https://www.facebook.com/RollingRiverCampground?mibextid=ZbWKwL 1
Vinnie
Those rooms you posted are very nice and very close. Let me add one option that's a little farther, about 10 miles (in Towanda), but cheaper: the Victorian Charm Inn. I have stayed there five or six times now, always well under $100 per night and an amazing breakfast is included. https://www.airbnb.com/s/homes?guests=1&adults=1&c=.pi0.pk16535840632_131657904462&sem_automaid=true&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmN2iBhCrARIsAG_G2i42Gtc6TkRHSfSxLdr0oqoKY2nNQl-YLAa5S7zfZ3kYDPUh7tF8L2EaAr1YEALw_wcB&dynamic_product_ids[]=15080846&omni_page_id=27964
liftyzig
To everyone that's coming, bring your inch bells! All shapes and sizes (except for plate loadable trainers) We could have like 20 inch bells in one place which would be an amazing sight and the worlds worst post-comp shenanigans! 2

Jedd Johnson
Tim Butler is in. I added him to the list as well as Rob Snyder, and their feats for the Medley. I need feedback from the competitors on what we would like to set the Finnish Ball at for the Men. This is Melissa Dingey's feat. She's doing 40lbs. What's a good challenging weight for the Finnish Ball in a Medley? Competitors please post your thoughts. We are now at the point where the entry fee is $75, and I can't guarantee a shirt at this point. Day of, the entry fee goes to $85.

Vinnie
15 hours ago, stranger said: 60 lb Finnishball for the men? That's probably ballpark. As a good gauge of medley items, I am usually capable of more than half but not more than 3/4 of medley items. My finish ball PR is 65, and I haven't trained it. So, 60 is probably right around what I will just get or just miss, making it a very fair medley item for me that I may or may not get. Much easier, and everyone gets a freebie; much harder, only the expert gets it. I'd vote for over 50 for sure, but not too much more than 60 because i'd like us mere mortals to have a shot at it ....

Jedd Johnson
Just posted this on Facebook: This Saturday, June 10th, is the United States Grip Sport Championship at my gym, PEAK Strength & Fitness , in Wyalusing, PA. Currently, we only have one woman competing. I would love to increase this number, so I'm offering to wave the late charge for any US women that might be interested in competing. The only requirement is that you must have participated in a Grip Sport International sanctioned competition in the past. Events: 20mm Block Set Grippers 2" Napalm's Nightmare 2x5 Napalm's Nightmare Pinch Little Big Horn Medley Who's it gonna be, ladies? Message me with any questions you might have. ALSO, IT'S NOT TOO LATE FOR MEN TO QUALIFY AND SIGN UP:
Jedd Johnson
Anybody got questions? Everybody got a room? Where's everyone staying? Post contest, we will most likely go to the Wyalusing Hotel for Dinner and then my friends at the winery are going to put up a bonfire, that we are invited to. No cover charge, as far as I know. They serve PA beer there as well as incredible wine (so I'm told, since real men drink Yuengling, not wine).

I'm staying at the Wyalusing Hotel Annex Friday and Saturday nights, so I will join you guys at the hotel for the dinner after the comp, although I do have to make a lighter weight two weeks later (under 176 pounds instead of under 183 pounds) for the arm lifting World Series Stage 1 on June 24 in Boston. I was 181 this morning, so hopefully I can come in around 178 or so Saturday and then not need to worry about losing too much more in the 2 weeks after.
