Guest iron_addict
I was looking at the weightlifters warehouse web site and noticed that they have two grippers that are stronger than the #2 and easier than the #3. I know there can be some pretty wild fluctuations in gripper strength. Has any one here tried the grand master and the elite? If so how did they compare to your IM #2 and #3. Thanks in advance for any help and best of luck in your training.
Matt Van Weele
The super master. The #2 has around a .260 wire and the #3 is around .283. The SM is .273.
HAMMERHEAD
Go to the FAQ secton and read Gripper Ratings. -HH
Guest iron_addict
Thanks for the replies guys. I checked out the gripper f.a.q. post. You're right that it lists the super master being between the #2 and #3. However, on the weightlifters warehouse site it lists the grand master and elite as being between the #2 and #3 as far as poundage rating goes. I've heard that beef builder had changed the names around on some of their grippers and I wasn't sure if the list in the gripper f.a.q. was still accurate. Trying to figure out the approimations of gripper strength can be confusing some times.
HAMMERHEAD
Don't pay attention to the number. Wire size/spring wire diameter is the best way to rate grippers. RB crushers has also added a new dimension by winding springs tighter/looser. -HH
