Vlad Uz
Hello everyone! I started make a custom gripper for 30th birthday my friend. Now i finished with steel handles, 95mm length, 19mm thickness (gold standard). And made a laser engraving on the bottom of both handles. But i have a problem with spring. I want to use 7.20mm (like CoC 3) spring, but i don't know how lenght it must be. Somobody know this info? And how depth holes need to do in handles? Yes, i have some CoC's and GHP's, and i can take off its handles (for to measure depth), but I don't want to scretch and to broke my faforite grippers:D I will be very appreciative for help! Thanks!
Cannon
From the CENTER of the coil to the end of the spring leg, the length is 3.25". But this number doesn't really matter. For Standard the length is 3". For Tetting it was also 3". It's shorter still on China-made grippers such as Heavy Grips.
John Knowlton
Way cool making your own gripper. When it’s done please post a picture
