Guest chips
Well, I finally got some steel today. And I must say this bending stuff is pretty addicting! I bought some 3/16" plated steel,CR. 1/4" CR & HR, and some 5/16 HR. The 3/16 was a joke. IT folded over easily at 7.6.5 even 4 inches, allthough its a bear to even hold onto at 4". The 1/4" CR was more humbling, I bearly put a curve in it. I used to think that once you get it started, then it gets easier. NOT!! I put alot into that 7" piece of 1/4 then I tried the HR, it was a bit easier, but I was pretty burned by then. I can't wait to see what this does to my tendon strength!!! RSW
I bearly put a curve in it. I used to think that once you get it started, then it gets easier. NOT!! The leverage gets better, but the steel work hardens as you bend it. That is why I accumulate a lot of steel bent to ~20 degrees.
