Guest wells
I believe Lee Priest is in the 45 lb + club as I have seen pics of him rolling up a 45 lb. plate for reps. Have any of you seen a heavier weight wrist rolled 'unsupported'? Edited November 12, 2003 by wells
Guest chips
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but 45lbs is nothing on a wrist roller. I warm up with 2 45's and then add another 25 plate. I have a 2" and a 3" roller. I'm sure Priest was just warming up.
nArKeD
I'd be pretty amazed to see you hold a 115 pounds in the front raise position, especially for the duration of a wrist roll.
Guest wells
Chips: That is 'unsupported', not supported with a bar on a rack.
opnsysme
I believe he (chips) stands on a bench, while maybe Priest is holding it out in front of him. Clarafication?
Guest wells
Yes, that is right Lee Priest performs his wrist rolls in the traditional unsupported method with his arms held straight out.
Guest chips
I dont hold the bar out in front of me, that would put all the stress on my shoulders. I just let it hang down in front of me. I used to stand on a bench when the weight was lighter, but now I dont. I just have to do more reps. Personally I didn't think 115 was a whole lot of weight, I want to try doing the rollers on a bar and really stack on the weight, but I haven't made one yet.
