Clay Edgin
I've tried 3 different ones now that are several years old and they are all in great condition.
HAMMERHEAD
Quality? Outstanding! Help your crush? yes Is it as specific as a good selection of grippers? Nope, and remember there are more than just CoC's. PDA and Tetting make great grippers of different strengths. If you want to get good a grippers you want to get as specific as possible. Wire cutting, the supergripper, and double sledgehammer squeeze are great. But remember, even though humping 10 miles with a 50lb ruck will give you srong legs, it doesn't mean you'll reach your squat goal. The supergripper will help your crush. It won't help with gripper technique. Which is tough to master with those hard grippers. -HH
AP
Quality? Well that depends. The thing won't break on you if thats what you mean. Your hardest workouts, years of abuse, even neglect won't damage the thing at all - mines about 7 years old an looks brand new. That being said here's an analogy for you. Just because a barbell doesn't break or bend on you doesn't mean that it feels as good as an eleico. The suppergripper feels alot like a grip machine, it just doesn't have that indescribable 'set and close' that makes the COC grippers so addictive. If you're more concerned about total hand strength and don't really care about being certified, than the ivanko is a better alternative. If you're looking to progress on your grippers then you'd probably be better off buying an inbetween gripper (or make an adjustible gripper!). But its still a good tool if you've got extra cash.
