Wow what a story!! I feel you when you describe the neck pain cause I have two discs in my neck pushing out from the right side.

What a difficult life you've had man.. I respect the fact that you never gave up!

I very rarely get headaches so it must have been brutal to even think or focus throughout this ordeal!

Wow this post has switched to us sharing our story with each other 💪

I really appreciate that man.

I rarely ever share my story because I don't want people to feel sorry for me.

These are the cards I have been dealt and that's it but I am glad that I finally get to share my story with likeminded people and someone like you that actually understands  what it's like to struggle in life.

I will never give up no matter what life throws at me but it definitely isn't easy.

My headaches were absolutely unbearable  it felt like someone was beating me with a hammer 24/7.

I still have to deal with a weak neck and lower back for the rest of my life but  that's nothing compared to what I have been through so I don't mind.

I am completely pain free except for the occasional back and neck pains but they aren't severe it's just that my neck and back will always be weakpoints.

I am really sorry about the discs sticking out.

I admire your work ethic and your positivity and the fact that you kept going after losing so much strength and that you have built yourself from the ground up again.

That requires an enormous amount of mental strength.

Yeah man I feel you. I've had to totally readjust my lifestyle. Can't walk for long, back tightens up. Got 3 discs in my lumbar that have degenerated. Used to be 6'2" now I'm 6'1"

Anytime I have to bend over, one hand is always on my thigh.

Was invited by Magnús Ver Magnússon in the summer of 2015 to Join Iceland's strongest man in summer of 2016 and this happens. I believe I'd have probably made it to the giant's live at some point. Maybe not. But I'd have hit a 600 dead and squat years ago.

Oh well.

I get what you mean by wanting to stay as healthy as possible. You can always be strong at something!

It's a hard path we chose man.

What do you train weekly? If you don't mind me asking

Damn man I am sorry to hear that.

Well I have been training for like 5 years now upper/lower 4 times a week and grip since march last year.

I would train upper/lower 4 times a week just standard hypertrophy stuff nothing heavy.

But lately I have been experiencing some low back pain again some dizzyness which isn 't good.

I also have a skin condition that grows abcesses this started occuring after I turned 20.

The first time I had one  it was about 30cm long and ran across the inside of my leg  and they had to remove it under local anesthisia .

The second time it was a hole of that size in my right buttcheek this nearly killed me.

I waited for too long because I was hoping it would open up by itself but it didn't by the time I got the the hospital I was getting delirous which meant that I nearly suffered from blood poisoning which could have killed me.

So they put me under full anesthesia and cut it open it left a hole of about 30 cm and a tube had to me inserted into the hole every day to flush it from the inside so the filth could get out.

They also gave me oxycodon which was necessary but I felt like a zombie without emotions and I was incredibly tired every single day.

I had had multiple abcesses afterwards that were incredibly painful but luckily they either opened up themselves or they could get cut open.

A number of weeks ago I got another one so I took a few weeks off from training.

What I started noticing is that me  not working out actually has a tremendous effect on skin. I also have acne on my back and it started getting better from not working out and I noticed that my abcess would heal a lot faster after I stopped training.

So I made the  painful decision to quit training and only train grip from  now on cause that doesn't seem to affect my body and skin at all.

I don't know the exact cause but it could be that because training causes inflammation in the body that that causes me to get abcesses.

Food is also a factor but not to the same degree.

I hate having to quit training because I love it but my skin has gotten better and I no longer have backpain.

I also no longer have knee pain because I have neglected my hamstrings for years due to not being able to train my lower back.

My quad dominance was the cause of my knee pain but the hamstring exercises destroy my  body and cause me to be in pain every single day which is just not worth it.

Ever since I quit my regular training all of my pain is gone and I have never felt better.

So I now train grippers 3 times, Pinch once,Thickbar once and wrists once.

I am gripper specialising because I don't have to lift anything off the ground so it's perfect for me.

Brother you're on another level of difficulty. DAMN! That is a hard hard situation man...

I totally get you having to quit training!

But hey at least grip has a universe of it's own! So many different handles, certifications you can train for. Set goals! Contests and online contests. It's great that you keep busy man. Good for you.

Good for you indeed 💪👏👏👏

It felt good writing down my story for the very first time.

Thanks for reading it all the way through I really appreciate that.

My ultimate goal is to close a no.4 CoC with a credit card set.

It doesn't matter how long it is going to take I just know I have it in me.

Pinching 2 45's is also something I would like to accomplish this is definitely possible for me because my hands are 8.66 inches long.

My main goal will be grippers though I want to try and get all the certifications including GHP.

Great aspirations!

Huge hands! I'm at 8.1" long. I bet they make certain aspects of grip easier huh?

Guessing pinch and crushing. Hub must be a bitch lol.

I wish you the best man! I'll be watching your progress 👀

I also aspire to certify on the CoC3 and be an official Mash monster at some point. Training hard for it.

Yeah they make thickbar and pinch a whole lot easier I am still bad at them though but that might be because I don't really have the equipment to train them properly.

I have never tried a hub and I am not really interested either because a lot of people get hurt doing hub lifts.

I'd rather stick to the simple stuff like plate pinches and dumbbell and barbell lifts with fatgripz.

I guess I could post some closes in the future once I get some torsion spring grippers.

I am sure you will get there man I don't think it will be a problem for you as a strong powerlifter.

Keep at it train smart don't get injured and you will get there!

I am dealing with another abscess now...

So I guess it's not my training that is causing it.

I haven't touched anything but my grippers in the past 17 days.

My training might contribute but it's not what's causing it.

So I am going to try and just maintain after dealing with this shit.

I have heart problems after severe pneumonia in childhood. including they are manifested by extrasystoles - this is when the heart makes extraordinary contractions due to a disruption in the work of its centers of innervation. In this case, in relation to sports, problems arise during working on endurance or strength endurance, because after an extraordinary contraction there is a "compensatory pause" between next contractions, which evens out the duration of the cardiac cycle. If there is a lack of oxygen in the blood, then during the failed blood pump to the brain, I lose consciousness. When I breathe frequently and create a state of hyperoxidation, then I "fly" this moment on the "supply" of oxygen that is created in the brain. This explanation is not entirely correct from a scientific point of view, but in general terms it can describe the situation to a person without special knowledge ... This problem leaves an imprint on my lifestyle, unambiguously. But I learned to live with her. I just know what I can and cannot do. For example, I can run short distances of up to 200 meters,  problems start from 400 meters. I have never run 3 km in my life. I've tried this several times, but each time I came to myself somewhere on the side of the road). Or, for example, I cannot speak on the phone while walking quickly on the street. If a pause in breathing due to pronouncing words or hypoxia is superimposed on a rhythm failure, I will fall in faint... Somebody sometimes asked how I pull for a minute or a half at the armwrestling table and do not "turn off" - in "my corners" in armwrestling the load goes to the blocked joints, taut ligaments, and not directly to the muscles, so there I have less demonstrated
 breathing ...

Even with the weight of this condition on your shoulders, you've managed to grow so physically strong. truly honorable determination my Friend. I hope you are staying safe and merry
