Guest wells Posted September 21, 2003 Share Posted September 21, 2003 You know if you are just hanging there you might as well do some chin-ups or pull-ups. It will add additonal stress and make you grip stronger especially as you are pulling up. Do as many reps until failure then hang for time. I keep reading posts advising hanging on a bar for time and think it is only part of larger and better exercise. The benefits of pull-ups and chin-ups is up there with squats, dips, and rope climbing for overall body growth and stength/stamina building.
