Guest
I figured I would start a log for my road to the 400 pound axle. I am pretty close to it. Tonight’s training consisted of one 125x5 215x5 325x11 I will be posting my top set Edited February 25, 2019 by Guest
Stephen Ruby
Good lifting. I know the weight is probably light for your body but you might try deadlifting in socks since your feet are a bit unstable on some of the lifts your heels seem to want to leave the ground when you force your hips through. I had the same problems when lifting in tennis shoes and felt so much more stable in chucks or just barefoot.

FrankSobotka
Joe, was this your entire training for that session or just the axle part of it?

I’ll do 2 or 3 grip exercises a session on my training days. I have very low volume and a lot of rest. My next lift this day was the Ironmind little big horn for 3 sets topping out at 200x3 reps and then 2 hands pinch on the thumb blaster at 190 x5 for 3 sets. I can break it off the ground but only to about 4 inches or so. I’ve never really focused on the axle. Now is the time.

Guest
Heavy 2 inch Ironmind axle with 335 for working sets 125x5 215x5 335x4.5 335x3 335x3 followed by LBH for 150x10 175x8 200x2 followed by thumb blaster 145x10 184x10 194x6 and a single with 216 All in all an ok day. Got 325 x 10 last week, jumped to 335 and I will still with it until I hit 10. Every 10 pounds and 10 rep increase will be stuck with until it is accomplished. Guest
2 3/8 inch axle day 210x5 280x6 280x6 280x5.5 Here is my last set of 6 on the 280. Used no chalk at all this workout. Being iron mind friendly. Had to wipe the sweat off my hands in between reps as I progressed. Yes I know you can use chalk on IM lifts. Followed by 2 3/8 inch high rep dumbbell rows 118x10 118x12 128x 7-9 Finished the day off with one handed farmers walks to help my left side imbalance of my quadratus lumborum. Seems to be working. All in all a good day.
Guest
Measured my hand the other day for John Oka who is gifting me an anaconda implement and needed exact hand size for proper fit. It is barley 8 inches on the nose. I thought it was more.... but then again... don’t we all? I can’t imagine the advantage an 8.5 inch to 9 inch hand has in grip. Must be nice! Haha Edited March 8, 2019 by Guest
Guest
2 inch iron mind double overhabd axle day Did bulk of the work out without chalk. Guest
Ironmind 2 inch axle day 215x10 305x10 345x2 345x2 Little big horn 155x8 170x8 iron mind ring 2 finger lift. Ring and pinky One set and heard a pop in my forearm tendons with 170 similar to the pop I heard in my middle finger last year on the hub when I snapped a pulley tendon. 2 hands thumb blaster 185x8 185x6 185x6 arm assassin 2.5 inch hammer curl bar preacher curls 110x8 110x6 110x6 finished with 3 sets of band triceps extensions the pop in my forearm was worriesome. Feels like a sprained ankle. Took some ibuprofen, iced it and rubbed some essential oil ice rub. Did some active high rep flexion/extension with the ice on it. I think it’s gonna be ok... something definitely is wrong, but not out of commission wrong. I will not be flirting with finger lifts ever again. Not worth it. Stay tuned if it affects my training Ain’t nothing gonna break my stride... ain’t nothing gonna hold me down... oh no.... I gots to keep on MOVIN!
