GSI Announcement - Newly Recognized Contest Format

After some discussion, Grip Sport International (GSI) has voted to begin recognizing contests that allow "unlimited attempts within a minute". This format will now be an acceptable alternative to the already recognized "one minute within which to make a single attempt". This means that both types of contests can now be sanctioned by GSI and lifts accomplished in these contests will be recorded in the GSI (formerly NAGS) Top 100 database.

"Unlimited attempts within a minute" means that a competitor has one minute to make a successful lift. During this time, he/she can try as many times as desired. The entire minute counts as the attempt. Many contests, including several run by Canada Grip Sport, Armlifting USA, and Armlifting Professional League already use this format.

There will be no separation of records between the two formats on the lists - correct?

I like this, I've seen several people slip off the implement and waste an attempt and it's unfortunate to miss due to something other than a lack of strength.
