Martin Gaisser
Was getting some bending stuff today and saw some stainless bolts and realized I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone bending them. I know there’s really no reason since there’s plenty of stainless round for cheaper but just curious if they are safe to bend or not. Looks like 316 and 18-8 are the most common grades they come in. Anyone seen one bent or tried one???
David_wigren
I remember Jebediah Fox bending a few stainless steel bolts back in the day. I’m sure the bolts vary by brand but I remember him saying they were way easer than the common 303 and 304 stainless that we usually bend.
