Reason being is because I can only intermittenly close the #2, and when I can't I miss it big time--just past parallel. The #3 I have I can get to just beyond parallel. But it has always been like this. I've brought the grippers within 1/16th of an inch from each other. I do not really train for reps so I do not know how many closes with the #2 I can do. I do mostly sever negatives. strap holds and beyond the range stuff.
