odin
Blackdog, I don't know that this is the best scale, but I am rather rough with it and it is used outdoors to weigh my feats. Usually I get about a year or so out of one before destroying it. If used by someone who trains indoors, it would probably last a lot longer. The scale has a 400lb capacity. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LHF4ZE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage&pldnSite=1

(You do need to be gentle with the top...it can dent somewhat easily.)

odin
You'll probably treat it more nicely than I do, so it'll last longer, here's an example:
