Sybersnott
O.K., does anyone know what the WR (world record) is for the G-Rex? Is there a record for the G-Rex? I'm thinking the honorable grip legend himself Richard Sorin could shed some light on this subject!
Strong Man
What is the G-rex?
Sybersnott
GOOD QUESTION, Strong Man! The G-Rex is a grip machine designed and built by Richard Sorin. It's a machine that allows you to use your own bodyweight if you want. Here's the link: http://www.sorinex.com/whatsnew20.htm
Strong Man
thats a pretty kickass gripmachine! PS: thats awsome how you can pinch on it too!!! Edited June 14, 2003 by Strong Man
Sybersnott
Oh yeah, it's the Rolls-Royce of grip machines, to be sure! You can crush, pinch, use the old two hand bar AND you can put all your bodyweight on it PLUS weight plates! The best thing I like about it is that you can use your BW as resistance! Rick Browne
I recall a price of $199.95 ( I believe?) Or is it $219? and the $199.95 was a special offering at one time to Gripboard members
mobsterone
and you don't know ther WR for it?PS: whats the WR for pinching???? The Iron Grip record is 65 kilos with one hand held (pun intended) by David Horne. It may not be the WR but I don't recall hearing any better. Check out Jim W and Scott E's site www.ukgrip.info for some more records
Notus
Sybersnott, Out of curiosity how much are you squeezing on your G-Rex with two hands? Also you had mentioned that you feel stuck on your gripper progress presently, but are you still making progress in your G-Rex Poundages? Thanks, Elias
Sybersnott
mob, What is that in American pounds? I can't for the life of me find my conversion table, and whenever someone talks in kilos it confuses me. BTW, I am getting back on the G-Rex - so right now I won't reveal what I doing on it (this is top secret information at Sybersnott Industries). The Mac
Interesting. I had always had 1 kilo = 2.204662 pounds, which I'm sure is accurate. Not that it makes the blindest bit of difference, mind you....
Sybersnott
mob, For what part of the machine are you talking about? The top bars, the gripper bars or the pinch plates? Also take into advance the carriage itself empty weighs 47 pounds (this is what Richard told me).
mobsterone
Freeweights. Not machine pinch - we don't have one here that I'm aware of. Anyway the question didn't inc the machine it just asked what is the wr for pinch?? Check out the site for the 2 handed total. Also Vince had some numbers on his machine set up (best 2 hander was 90+ kilos I think)
