JeffPeterson
If people want to order a Grand master they are available. They have a .281 wire which is the same as a #3. $20.

bballdad
Is the GrandMaster that wwfitness carries a .281 spring diameter. I was looking to order something between the 2 and the 3 CoC. Actually have already ordered the GrandMaster and the Elite.
bender
I just recieved my Super Master and Grand Master yesterday. They are the perfect grippers for filling in the #2 to #3 gap. The Super Master is a Very Hard #2, maybe a 2.20, and the Grand Master is a Very Easy #3, maybe a 2.75. Great grippers. Bought from WeightLifters WareHosue. bballdad
thanks for the info bender. I wonder what the Elite is close too? A CoC #3?
bballdad
Looks like I need to order the SuperMaster too?
bender
The Elite is a Very Hard #3, but they are all different. Mine has very narrow handles, so feels like my #3's.
bballdad
can you shut the #3 bender? And the elite?
Guest gripmaster316
I am pretty cheap so I don't bother buying these "in between" grippers. Instead why don't you just raise your hand on the #2 or something. Make sure your index is just around the top of the gripper. There should be some space at the bottom. Now try to close it. bballdad
Good Idea 316!! I guess I just need the motivation of shutting one of these inbetween grippers. Plus I just like to collect different ones.
HAMMERHEAD
Grippers that have smaller gaps in resistance are invaluable training tools. They have the same training value as a good grip machine. -HH
Sybersnott
Hammerhead, I could not have said it any better myself!! Get different grippers - I got my Tettings and it was one of the best purchases that I ever made. The man knows grippers!!

Very true but if you are a true grip geek, you will buy the grippers to train with and as collectors, $20.00 is not a lot of money, I have about 15 grippers myself now and I want more, they are very addicting Matt
bballdad
They came today finally!!!!!!! Going to work out with them tonight on the KTA Program.. Took 12 days to get here. I'd love ti have all ironmind Captain of Crush Grippers, all the BeefBuilders and all the RB Crushers. They are addictive. I get excited like a kid at X-mas. Can't stand the waiting on them to arrive. Hopefully have me some blobs before long too.
bballdad
My Grandmaster doesn't feel much harder than my #2. Feels great in my hand. Got it down pretty close today. Now the Elite !! Whew! Tough!!
bballdad
My brother came over tonight and I was showing him my new grippers. He picked up my Grandmaster and came within an 1/8'" or so from shutting them right handed. Surely they can't be an easy #3??? Wish I had something to measure the springwire measurement? bseedot
Mine is around a 2.8, if that even means anything anymore. BC.
Emsquared
The springs on the #3 and the GrandMaster are identicle IMO, my GrandMater and #3 are very very close, as for the Elite I have clsoed it 2 times now Matt
bballdad
wow good job on that Elite emsquared!
bballdad
was a 1/16" from closing my grandmaster today. Tried it before starting KTA. Done Trainer 1 rep, #1 1 rep, then Grandmaster attempt. Then started KTA. Did negatives with my Elite.
porkbone
My Grand Master arrived today. It's actually quite a bit easier than my Super Master! I even measured the springs to make sure there wasn't some mix up, which there was not. I have a couple #3's and I'd put my SM at around #2.7 and the GM around #2.4 Either way, I'm happy with it. It will make for a great straphold gripper. I am wondering though just how tough (or weak) my #3's really are. http://members.cox.net/mwayne/gm.jpg It's a little blurry, but it works.
