Jared Goguen
Awesome! I'm going to start training for this now. What's the hight going to be set at? Edited April 27, 2015 by Jared Goguen
Eric Roussin
One-Hand Pinch -- whatever the standard height is (I'm not exactly sure) Crusher - 8" lift (to be confirmed) Shallow Hub - 13" lift V-Bar - 2" lift
Chez
Awesome really looking forward to this comp. One-Hand Pinch -- whatever the standard height is (I'm not exactly sure) The standard height for the Euro is 16.5 inches
Eric Roussin
^The bar is indeed set at 16.5 inches, but the lift is less because the pipe that holds the plates (and that needs to reach the bar) runs through the middle of the discs. So I think it works out to close to a 9" lift or so.

Jose Cabrera
Question....how deep and wide is the shallow hub?? Sand your IM hub and add cardboard rings to make your hub more shallow, works nice
Eric Roussin
The Shallow Hub is 3" wide (like the IronMind Hub), but only 0.75" deep, as opposed to 1.25".

ironman46
Sorry for the dumb question. Is the 2.5 Crusher a gripper like COC 2.5 and if so what does FBBC ?
Chez
Sorry for the dumb question. Is the 2.5 Crusher a gripper like COC 2.5 and if so what does FBBC ? its like a rolling thunder handle but made by Fat Bastard Barbell Company (FBBC). its a one handed thick bar deadlift. http://www.fatbastardbarbellco.com/CRUSHERS.html
ironman46
I just realized the 2.5 crusher is a 2.5 inch diameter handle and you lift it 8 inches high for the complete lift, right. The gym in Mahopac,NY near Chez last meet was is one of the locations will be if Chez still wants it there. Cool, thanks for the lesson, but this handle doesn't roll right like rolling thunder. Chez
Cool, thanks for the lesson, but this handle doesn't roll right like rolling thunder. It does roll. In fact I hear it rolls even more than the rolling thunder. The handle is solid steel so it weighs a lot. The gym in Mahopac,NY near Chez last meet was is one of the locations will be if Chez still wants it there. definitely wont it there buddy. I really appreciate you getting that location for us. bencrush
What is the base weight of the Euro at 48mm? I am off that day. It will be a 4-hour drive to the Missouri location. But the chance to catch up with Josh and Luke and meet some new people is too good to pass up.
Eric Roussin
^Best to follow up with Luke directly for this, as they many of the Euros vary depending on the materials used to construct them. Mine weighs 50 lbs at 48mm, but I can swap out the metal pipe for a PVC pipe to lower the weight if necessary.
bencrush
Okay, thanks Eric. My pinch is so weak that I'll be around the Euro base weight.
Ceya!
The Crusher is going to be fun. I hope I do well.

I usually teeter totter right on the edge of those two classes myself, and cut down a few pounds to make the 74.
