acorn
I'm on their mailing list and saw this for today. Could be a good training bar and a good price. Not appropriate for sanctioned contests due to 1.93" vs 2.0" required though so keep that in mind. http://www.muscledriverusa.com/MDUSA-Axle-Bar--7ft--FLASH-SALE_p_2813.html - Aaron
acorn
Any of you guys pull the trigger on one of these? Just curious.
JaredWith1R
It's very tempting, I'll tell you that. I don't, nor do I think I could afford, the weights to put it to use yet. And I'm not sure if I should lock down the sale price and hold onto it until I could afford the weights. Dilemmas. Thanks for the tip, anyway! EDIT: Price went back to $119, down from $139. Missed the real deal. Edited March 17, 2015 by JaredWith1R

Missed the real deal. Ok, Yeah it was like $83 with free shipping when I checked it. I can't even get the material to make one much less powder coat too for that. JaredWith1R
Yeah when I first checked earlier, it was $83. Oh well. Once I get the money, I will look harder into building one. Soon enough.
Anthony C.
Thank you for putting up the link Aaron. I didn't buy one because I don't have Olympic weights at home, but certainly would have taken advantage of that deal. On a side note, I ordered a wrist wrench yesterday

I don't know what exactly I will use when I first get a loading pin, but I know a Wrist Wrench is high up on my list of wants.
