Kody - 2 Hand Pinch Pr's

I think I can answer that question. The Euro pinch is regarded the #1 competition event because it is as much hand size neutral as a grip event can be. No one can make much of a valid excuse for performing poorly. Some of us have a hand geometry probably more suited to the one hand version of the lift but as long as one is looking at the combined performance (1HP and 2HP) you have the fairest measure of any aspect of grip strength. Thickbar favours, as we all know, people with a large wrap, grippers favour people with a narrow hand (more leverage), hub lifting probably people with shorter fingers etc, etc.

Pinch in itself is not more 'important' than say thick bar lifting but attempts to make the latter hand size neutral do not work as well as the Euro pinch does. In the case of thickbar lifting; if you reduce the diameter to account for smaller hand sizes you are effectively moving away from the 'thickbar' aspect of the lift.

wow

Euro is the king of grip exercises and seeing that much weight moved was a thing of beauty, amazing performance. You are the king of pinch.

Thank you Stephen ! I never knew Euro was the king of grip exercises. Why is it considered that for ? Ive never heard that. I knew it has been the most contested event in history. Maybe thats why ?

Or...Optimal hand size is taken out of the equation as the width can be adjusted to suit the hand size!

Extremely impressive! 275#, crazy stuff.

Since the "Euro" is, well, European, lets set goals in kilograms before setting seemingly inhuman goals in pounds, :D heh heh. So lets say 130kg (286#) before 300# so you can take 'baby steps', right? :)

Just joking of course. Hope you go as high as you can. Awesome work!!!
