wsm_fan_uk Posted June 2, 2003 Share Posted June 2, 2003 I remember reading here before that hex blobs are as hard as regular blobs, which makes me think it's a bit like IM grippers vs others. The benchmark for blobs will always be a 50lb York the same as the benchmark in grippers is the IM 3. However IMHO for us Brits especially there are more cost effective solutions. Before I start hacking up blobs, I'd like to know if people think that lifting a hex blob trains the hand as effectivly as a York blob. dan_j_carter Posted June 3, 2003 Author Share Posted June 3, 2003 OldGuy, Good suggestion, although ebay uk is a sad shadow of ebay.com for weightlifting gear - e.g. there is rarely more than a single set of oly plates per month and they often go for more than the new price !!?? wsm_fan_uk (and Hammerhead) - hex idea seems like best bet for now.
