New York Grip Throw Down 3

Chez

Recommended Posts

Sounds like a big breakfast at the local diner is in order, anyone up for it.. you guys should run a summer contest and have some steaks & beers afterwards.

I would like to join you for breakfast but I have to set up and will likely be running around to get things in order. we did it in the summer last year, but I decided to move it earlier because North American Grip Nationals is in June and I plan on attending this year.

Chez, I live really close and if I can help with setting up anything early let me know in hopes it might allow you time to grab something to eat quick, just an offer, thanks.

I'll take you up on that. I'll be there at 9 and I will have to unload the weight plates from my car so if you can get there around then that would be a big help. Thanks

Chez can you post up the address and start time again as a refresher?

Its my friend's house so I don't feel comfortable posting it. I'll message you tonight. If anyone needs the address, please PM me, I will be checking my messages all night. Be there at 9:30 the latest. If you want to weigh in earlier and help set up, I'll be there at 9.

A couple reminders:

1) If you don't have the comp address, please PM me.

2) Please show up around 9:30 am for weigh ins and rules etc. You can come at 9 if you want to help set up and weigh in earlier.

3) bring food, it will be a long day. Some people might organize buying a pizza etc. but I wouldn't count on it.

5) if you need a lift from the train etc. contact me to coordinate a time.

6) if I asked you to bring stuff, please write a note to remind yourself.

7) when you make it to Andrew's house, the basement door is on the opposite side of the house from the drive way.

8) if you want to bend or train other items, bring the steel or the items with you.

Best Competition I have thrown so far. We continue to get bigger and better. 19 people competing! Lots of PRs and a great time with great people. Thank you to everyone who came, donated prizes (I will mention you all separated via facebook and gripboard) and people who helped run the comp (e.g., loading etc.). I hope to see many of you again at the New York Location for the King Kong Grip Comp in Late October!

I announced the class results at the comp, but I will post them here by tomorrow night or Monday along with the overall rankings and the prizes that will be given to the top 3 in every class.

Chez, another great comp, definitely the best one yet. Thanks again for your efforts with putting this together and for Andrew allowing us to use his place. I'm sure the rest of the guys are very appreciative as well. It was great seeing everyone and can't wait for the next event!

Thanks guys. I always say this, but I will continue to improve. I have already taken down notes of things I can do better for next time. I not super talented but I'm a perfectionist and restless worker and very hard on myself.
