So I was weaker, heavier, and several years younger than you. In short... hell of a set! I appreciate you, Mike! I came up short for my aim of 15 reps (the 14th took like 3 seconds to move the last inch ), but I'm now as strong as I was at my best ever, with my body weight being down about 8 pounds. So what I'm trying to say is the whiskey may not collect too much dust sitting on the shelf. And there's a good chance that it will be claimed by one you other guys in the meantime. 1 hour ago, Shoggoth said: How are you picking your AMRAP work set weights? I'm simply checking my list of PRs in the high rep range to assassinate every Sunday. Lots of grazes here lately. Thursdays are more structured around incremental improvement via very short cycles with sets of 7 and then 3. But I like the high rep benching: don't feel like I've been hit by truck when done (squats and deadlifts) and it's much more resistant to staleness.
