Nearing Consecutive Reps On Inch Dumbbell Row

Recommended Posts

I can feel that I am getting very close to being able to perform two consecutive reps on the Inch Dumbbell without having to set it down and re-set my grip. This has been a very hard "feat" for me to accomplish. I have been working thick bar rows for over a year now and am just now feeling like I am knocking on its door. You'll see in the video, it kind of pauses there at the bottom of the movement and I am trying to pull it back up for that second rep.

It's impressive that you can do one. Consecutive rows would be an epic feat that will come.

Brent, if I did two reps without setting it down, I have totally forgotten, which is known to happen. I know that at this time, I just can't seem to reverse the momentum for the second rep.

There definitely was a video of doing inch rows in Smitty's garage, but I don't recall the two consecutive reps.

Thanks, really it's not a lack of arm strength. It's a lack of grip strength, not being able to reverse the momentum of the Inch from down to back up. Very little carryover as far as strength from regular dumbbells to the inch, no matter how heavy you're going.

Yes, that was the first tie I was able to finally do it.
