6" Red Attempt

First 6" attempt a few days ago.

Bend starts at 4:40.

Failed at about 80-85 degrees on video. I did hit it one more time after I stopped recording and got it barely past 90. I was gassed, but it was definitely worth the fight. Any tips on my finishing technique would be great. My fat hands definitely hurt me on the last few degrees of the sweep.

Thanks for watching,

Kyle

I have trouble with 6" x 8mm stock on the crush. Kink and sweep arnt bad but I feel my fingers get in the way and the crush stops me.

Good bend though!

Very strong work! Are you able to interlock your hands completely, or at least a bit? You can also try pulling the pads down an inch or more and that way it will give you a bit more leverage on the crushdown - and it frees up a bit of room for your hands between the tips of the short Red Nail.

I know your pain. I hate the sweep area on short bars. Finding place to fit the hands becomes a struggle. Good attempt!

Great attempt man...what I do on real short bends is slide the pads down just enough to get my pointer fingers on the bar and then dig my palms into the ends of the bar, bring it up high and crush down...if my fingers cant interlock in a strong position....I do this just until I can change to interlocked finger.

I don't know if this advice will help or not but I thought I'd pass it on just in case.

You will get this bend soon...very soon!

Thank you guys for all the responses and tips.

Tommy, I will definitely watch the video ASAP. I appreciate you doing that again. IM pads move around so much when I wrap and I can't get them to wrap straight for shit.

I SUCK at wrapping. They always either bunch up or start sliding out at an angle so it looks like crap. Everyone of my bends the imp pads are not rolled straight. Sometimes to try and keep them straight I'll crease it and it bunches a little and I'll keep rolling right over it lol.
