Mikael Siversson
Unsurprisingly the addition of wide plate pinching last week took a toll on my 1HP on the Euro today. Last week I maxed out at 46k (not 46.5k as previously stated I noted in my training log) and pulled 4x10k Eleiko easily; got the mobile camera out and pulled them again. Today I maxed out at 44.5k at 64mm on the Euro, a drop of 3% and tried 4x10k Eleiko plates again. This time straight after the Euro pinch so my hands were less fatigued this time. The difference in performance between the two viseo clips should thus be greater than shown. In any case I think it can be useful to show failures as well and not just clips when you are at peak strength. It seems it would take closer to 100 lbs in the 1HP on the Euro at 64mm before one can hope to master 4x10k Eleiko (assuming moderate sensitivity to increasing width). If you pinch considerably more at 58mm compared to 64mm then you would most likely need to be closer to 110 lbs at 64mm before you can hope to achieve what can be regarded as the entry level in 4x10k (because of the great fit and comparatively narrow width of Eleiko plates (83mm)).
