Coc #2 First Official Close: Road To Mm0

As the title states, this is my first OFFICIAL close of the CoC #2 (unrated), CCS in my dominant hand. I think I've gotten a few closes before in my training, but never caught it on video, or was even entirely sure.

After that, I felt really strong in the right hand, so I went for reps. Crushed out 2 solid closes, and 1 almost (but probably no cigar) close.

This is my first time shooting gripper closes, so I apologize for the quality.

Any advice from anyone anywhere would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for checking my stuff out.

Those were solid closes.

Thanks, dude. I guess I had a perfect amount of warm up and rest since my last session, because everything felt like butter.

The gripper is sitting a little low in your hand. You may have more power if you move it up a bit.

Nice closes but as EJ says try the gripper on half pinky! :)

Congrats dude. I love seeing PRs. Keep working hard!

also check out this video for clarification on having your pinky finger half off the gripper for better leverage:

Thanks all you guys. I basically live for PRs, that's what really keeps the power going. Thanks for the support!

Hopefully I'll be posting another video of my #2.5 CCS soon!

PK's gripper videos are legendary, this is the one I cut my gripper teeth on. Too bad he doesn't compete anymore.

Good job on closing!!

Thanks! It was a journey. Also, I apologize but I am stealing your grip goals from your signature. That's just what I am going for.

Nice man. Congrats. Why not start a training log on this board. You seem pretty serious about your training. You can post vids now and then and can get good feedback.

Why not indeed! I can definitely do that. I already log all of my workouts, climbing and grip training, in a google doc. Might as well keep it all in one place.

Thanks man.

My pleasure to share them with you! Im trying to move that way too.

(Noticed that you have a little mistake at the end of #3)

It would be interesting to see climbing & grip logged. Keep up the good work.
