Buccos1
Huge hub lift and great progress on that lift. You looked good for more so I'm sure you will raise that national record if not challenge for the world record at king kong! Thanks Stephen! I might have been good for 72.5 if I would have taken my first two attempts differently, but had nothing left by the time I tried my final attempt. I hope to keep improving on the Hub, but it is the one thing I have been doing a long time (as opposed to being relatively new at everything else) and progress has continued into the 60s and up to 70, but it's been slow. Unreal! 70 muthafaackin LBS! Congrats! Fantastic lift Carl! Congrats! Thanks guys! really good work carl. all the hub work has paid off. are you planning on doing the KK comp and push it up? Thanks Brent! I am planning on the KK. We'll see how training goes. The hub at the comp had a great texture to it ... mine is not really seasoned at all, so truly a different feel to it. I just PRd on my hub a few weeks ago at 67.5. I think I might be good for more ... new goal is 75 , but progress has slowed down on this the past few months. PeterSweden
How did you train to get your hub that strong?

Buccos1
How did you train to get your hub that strong? I've always been OK on the Hub, starting at around 40 the first time I tried it (and this was on the old-style Hub). When I tried the new Hub, I think I pulled 50 on it the first time. I've been training it for the past few years once per week, about 3-4 sets per session. I have always gone for a max lift in my workouts too. Weird thing is that my left was stronger before (~65lbs.) and my right was just under that, then the right blew past the left (~70 right/63-65 left). I never did make fast progress on it, but the progress has been incremental and consistent over time. 75 is in sight now!
Buccos1
Nice lift and you definitely looked to have more in the tank! Thanks! If I took my first two attempts more conservatively, I might have had a shot at 72.5. Congrats You do some extra pounds to King Kong. Pretty sure of that! Thanks! I hope so. My Hub is not really seasoned, so I think in training, it's a bit lower (65-68). Might try to season it better and see what happens. Awesome lift Saturday. You'll be at 75lbs in no time! Thanks man! Good job too all-around.
