Anthony C.
Hey guys, I wanted to get a little practice in on filming gripper closes, so I took a few videos today and figured I'd share. Training 20mm block set for Chez's competition in July, and also some choker closes. Choked BBGM 138 3 reps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q00gxwbgHk BBSM 128 20mm block set https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgYVezXo7-M Choked BBGM 138 off hand close (excuse the squeezing out a turd squeal) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSt4XIuxkPo COC 2.5 125 20mm block set 4 reps, almost 5 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV3uAOyMa7Q
Tom Scibelli
Strong closes Anthony, have you tried putting your number 3 in a choker, I think you'd be close

Chez
Strong work bud. That super master close looked easy for. Your set is looking better also. Edited May 5, 2014 by Chez
Norden
Nice. Have you tried setting the thing closer to your body? Just a thought.

Anthony C.
Thanks guys! This is why I like filming closes...for the tips. Ive been having issues with setting from the beginning but have been getting better. Holding the gripper closer to my chest seems like a great idea to engage the chest better...I didnt even realize how far away I was holding it until I watched myself. I do have a 144 coc 3 that I wanna choke.next and see if I can get next. Thank you guys!

Most work I can do without assistance but when setting heavy grippers with some kind of block set + max attempt, my hand goes all over the place. I think it would help to make your set stronger, but it's also important to do what's most comfortable for you personally, of course. The set has always been what holds me back from closing bigger grippers than around 150lbs. Edited May 6, 2014 by Norden

I need to try bringing my arms in closer next time.
