Tank as we called him was a likable 300 or so pound lifting machine. Very polite and attentive did his best on events that were within his power at the Mighty Mitts but, very new to him. After the competition he came by out demo booth on Saturday and methodically went through lifting evey implement that he was tested on the day before. The Blobs seemed to mystify him and he worked for over an hour to master most of them. He took every piece, lifted it, then turned it in some way to resemble an arm wrestling related training move. His foreams are mighty large! I saw him in an ultra strict manner hang from two, single, free swinging, vertical bars and do quite a few strict pullups then raise his legs into a front right angle straight out L pike position, hang motionless for a bit then, do a half dozen more pullups while staying in the seated pike position. He squeezed 90 on the Baraban dyno and leaned over a 32 inch very lightly padded stand an did a "slow" starting in the full down position a strict wrist curl with the 172 lb. Inch Bell. That amazed AND scared everyone! He was a joy to meet and even though a 40 hour flight was ahead of him homeward his attitude and quiet, true strength was exemplary.

Very strong man, how did he get to hop right into the mighty mits though?

Obviously, that's a question for Richard. But Alexy is ranked #2 in the 120k class on the NAGS site with an axle pull of 440 pounds. I saw the video of the lift. Strong and legit.

I'm sure having the RT record at 331# was another strong indicator.

Seeing as Alex knew nothing about the Arnold at the Fit Expo, and then he won the Vise Grip Viking grip contest there, that obviously had something to do with it.
