Rick Browne
Warren Tetting`s Elite and/or Heavy Elite are good candidates
Sybersnott
A BBE will do nicely!
Patrik_F
A 330 IP RB Gripper would probably also be good.
Griparn
A 300ip also.
mobsterone
A 300ip also. If my new 300ip RB gripper is anything to go by (before it gets 'aged') then I'd agree.
willardjamessloan
thanks for the info guys, is a bbe alot esier than the #
JeffPeterson
Yes the BBE is easier then the four. The five I've tried were all about a 3.
Adam Black
I use a PDA .295. There is no IP rating for this gripper as it was purchased after that IP system was dropped. At any rate, this gripper is slightly harder than both my #3s.
gazza
An RB 300IP or 330IP,will do nicely. If you want QUILITY as well as funtionality the RB Grippers are the best on the market. Espesially the chromium plated steel handled ones.
Patrik_F
I wouldnt really call the 300 IP and the Elite in between grippers between the #3 and the #4. They are much much easier than the #4 but a little harder than #3s. Ofcourse they are very good stepping stones if you are determined for the #4. When I get a 330 IP and a Heavy Elite gripper I can better tell how they rate, but they should be around 3.5 or a little above in difficulty. The Super Elite I have btw is very close to a #4, before I even thought it was heavier than one of my #4s.
Griparn
Patrik, I think it also depends on how your grippers is made. I read that the chromium plated springs are heavier to crush. The width of the gripper is also a factor. I can say that my 300ip is a good gripper between the #3- 4. This is just my view of it. But as we all now this can vary, because everyone have different grippers.
Patrik_F
Yes yes, like I said it is a good stepping stone but not hard enough imo to be a gripper I would call in between the way I meant. Too close to the #3s in strength. I realise that the 300 IP with narrow width is easier than with normal or wide width especially if you dont have large hands, but since Robert dont make the 330 gripper with narrow width I wanted at least one of my grippers to be narrow just to try it out and I really like it. At least my 300 IP is with a silver chromium plated spring, hopefully it gets a little harder
