RSW
jcovin, No need, it feels the same. My question is where do you get equivalent stock to the Red? Crown bolts 5/16" HRS doesn't seem to be as tough as the Red.
tmmicklabs
RSW, Isn't the Red CRS instead of HRS ??? That would explain the difference.
RSW
sn't the Red CRS instead of HRS ???That would explain the difference. Yeah, but the alloy is also important. Let me know if you come across any 5/16" stock equivalent to Red. In general, the Crown Bolt HRS is pretty tough stuff.
BabyGrip
RSW Sears sells 5/16" Plate steel rods in 6 foot lengths. If you cut it to 7" and bend it, it will only be about 10% easier than an IM RED. Once you can fully bend this, you should be abe to kink the RED. If you can't quite bend the plate steel at 7", you can always cut a longer piece and work your way down.
