Bob Lipinski
Got a double stamped #3 in the mail today. Just with a test squeeze, I thought it was a little easier. Been training grip the last 2 days in a row, and right now I am training at midnight, hardly a typical training time for me. During the warmup, I did it for 5 reps easy (typically my 3 has me barely doing one under similar circumstances), and got within a hair lefty. I imagine fresh, with a good leg workout to warmup beforehand, I would get 15-20. This seems like about a 2.5, compared to my circa '99 1-4 set. Also, I use my father in law's #2, which is like a 1.5 compared to my '99 set. Even Steve "girlyhands" Shafley can close it, when he can't budge his other 2. I am pretty happy, I wanted one either quite a bit harder or easier than my others for progression purposes. On inspection, it seems about 1/4 inch narrower than my other 3. I would like to get a narrow #4, as with small hands the toughest part is setting the gripper.

RSW
Bob, How tough is your #4? I have one I bought in 2002 at the York Barbell store, which might be easier than yours. I am willing to lend it to you, if you think you might be able to close it. Robert
Roark
Bob, The grippers do not vary; you must be mistaken
Bob Lipinski
RSW- My 4 is pretty tough, then again all the 4's I've tried have been pretty tough. Let me close my silver elite first, then I may take you up on that offer. Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it/
supersqueeze
My brother had one like that. Narrow handles and really spongy - about a #2.5 or so. Mike M.
tmmicklabs
Bob. I have an easy # 4 Mine is 2 months old. It is very narrow. 2 and 3/4 between the inside handles. The same as my trainer. My # 3 is about 6 months old and is 3 and 1/4 between the inside handles.
