thanks, you should be able to handle the ghp 7. The sweep is harder than the IM 3 but not that bad.

Jeremy, you're lookin' noticeably stronger than you were just two months ago when you broke the 20mm block set world record in the 93k class (which stood until Paul showed up at Nationals).

Impressive attempt! :rock

Sweep is definitely a bit harder than that of my two #3's, but the COC's have to mean bite at the end. My beefbuilder MM2 and BBE just ramp up gradually in the close. All different characters so to speak :)

Thanks, yeah I expected someone to get a gripper in the 170's but Paul's 187 is very impressive. Congrats to you Eric, dropping all that weigh and doing outstanding at Nationals.

I've been working on being more explosive on my closes so I can gain momentum for those grippers that ramp up at the end.

Thank you, Jeremy. :)

The sweep refers to the portion of the close leading up to the last little bit. It's not a strictly defined term, but could mean the first half of the close, I guess.

And "ramp", as in ramping up, refers to the degree to which a gripper increases in difficulty as it is being closed. Some feel mushy until just the last little bit, while others feel hard during the sweep and ramp up only slightly thereafter.

Joshua as soon as you try the ghp7 you will instdbtoy understand what is meant by a harder sweep, I did when I tried the ghp6. The spring hold the tension right to the end very consistently, it feels very springy competed to a coc. You will see, at first it will feel a little weird but you will end up loving the ghp, they really are wondeful grippers.

I have never used an extended handle, be careful with negatives way above your current level, they can be rough on tendons.
