Billy Jack Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Hey Guys Decided to shoot and post my first ever grip vid. Thought it was time since this was my first really significant feat I've done, in my mind at least. I may be getting way ahead of myself, but I really think I can do six 10's sometime in the future. I say this because I have only been working my pinch for about 4 months on and off and the plates I used for this one are practically brand new and very slick. You can still see the upc stickers on the plates, that's how new they are. I also didn't have to use much chalk at all. My wide pinch seems to feel pretty good at the moment. Guess I need to work on my lighting a little bit in the area I shot this before posting anything else as the vid seems a little dark. Wish me luck and thanks for watching. http://youtu.be/mWz7bKESE5E Edited April 18, 2013 by Billy Jack Quote “You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there.” Edwin Louise Cole
Billy Jack Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 nice! looked way easy for you. 6 dimes would be rad, btw. I appreciate it Tommy. I don't know though man, I just tried six with a bar thru the middle a little bit ago in my workout. DAYYUM is all I can say. Gonna be a tough ride to get there. Felt glued to the floor. Hard to believe 3/4" wider and 10 more lb's can make that much of a difference. Quote “You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there.” Edwin Louise Cole
GatorGrip Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 5 dimes is a solid feat of pinch that you should be proud of, 6 10s is another animal for most people without having extremely long hands. Keep up the solid work and you will get there - most of any feat starts in the mind and ends with the body performing it! Billy Jack Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 Thanks Gator. I do agree 100% with that philosophy. My hands are above average and I can get the first crease of my fingers on the plates with six. If I can get my hand around them, they shoud be lifted. That's the way I see it. Billy Jack Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Thanks for all the supportive comments guys. One a side note, anyone know why the video would not embed and play here in the thread? It will do it in a PM but would not here for some reason. Any ideas? Quote “You don't drown by falling in the water; you drown by staying there.” Edwin Louise Cole
Bearcat 74 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nice work, 6 10's is tough stuff. Quote Real Name: Heath Sexton Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
